The group selects and reads a book monthly that examines faith and issues that impact our community and meets up to discuss it. We will be meeting at a new time 11:00 am.
We will be reading/discussing La Vie de Guinevere by our very own Paula Lafferty. Paula will also be attending so we can hear about the writing process as well as discuss the book.

Book Group
The group selects and reads a book monthly that examines faith and issues that impact our community and meets up to discuss it. We will be meeting at a new time 11:00 am.
We will be reading Born a Crime by Trevor Noah. It is the story of a mischievious young boy who grows into a restless young man who struggles to find himself in a world where he was never supposed to exist. It is also the story of his relationship with his fearless, rebellious, and fervently religious mother who was determined to save her son from the cycle of poverty, violence, and abuse.

With no football games on the 2nd, let's play some games!
Join us for a pot luck and fun card games and board games at Peace Church after worship.
We'll bring some games (Uno, Skip-Bo, etc) and we invite you to bring your favorite easy-to-play/learn games, too!

We have trained community leaders in the areas of emotional, spiritual and physical health within Peace members. They will guide our conversation about building trust, grieving, and practicing care for ourselves and our community in these chaotic times.

Christmas Eve in the Crossroads

This year's Christmas Eve offering will benefit :
Micah Ministry & Aid to Families and Children in Gaza.
Micah Ministry: Micah is centered around a ministry of home-cooked meals in which faith-based and civic volunteers partner and seek to help our food vulnerable neighbors. From 5:30 - 7:00 pm every Monday, Micah offers a hot “to-go” meal, hygiene products, clothing, additional food items, a free medical clinic from Care Beyond the Boulevard, and items to support our house-less neighbors such as blankets, sleeping bags, and tents.
Aid to Families and Children in Gaza: The Department of Service for Palestinian Refugees (DSPR) is a division of the Middle East Council of Churches and a partner since its founding fifty years ago of the United Church of Christ. In response to the destruction of schools and health facilities across Gaza, the DSPR has focused on education activities and psychosocial support for children and provided basic health services and administered vaccinations and disease prevention programs in both Gaza and the West Bank.
