We worship at Peace Downtown (1801 McGee St, KCMO) on Sundays at 10:30 am. You can also join worship on Zoom. We love welcoming members from across the country each Sunday online. Child care is available, where our children’s learn and play during worship in our “kids club” space. Gathering at 10:30 am each Sunday morning is something we look forward to all week long.
Peace is a vibrant, informed, engaged worshiping community.
It is worship that sets us apart, from the way we transform a space, even our online space, and “make church,” to the music that manages to give old hymns new life and coaxes the sacred out of well-known secular songs, to the evocative sermons that easily blend scripture and storytelling.
We've never worshiped in a traditional space or way. Peace Church gathers on Sunday mornings at Peace Downtown (1801 McGee St, KCMO). We set the room to create sanctuary; the chairs set out in a semi-circle where we feel more engaged with the pastor, the music leaders, and with one another. We use Zoom for online worship, creating windows into one another's homes and lives as each of us is comfortable sharing. Whether on Zoom or in person, before and after the service, we catch up with each other; sharing joys and concerns, celebrations, new favorite games, shows, books, and recipes
It is our tradition to celebrate communion every Sunday and we continue that in our online/in-person gatherings. All are invited to participate in person, and we encourage those online to have some bread and juice, a muffin and coffee -- whatever fills your soul -- ready to be used as communion.
Whether online or in-person, you’ll find we tend to linger after the service and we invite you to stay so that we can learn more about each other.
