Taking Peace to Our Neighborhood and the World

First, I want to say I love our new graphics and ideas for the banner and the table coverings. From my little town in Chico, I was thrilled to be able to participate by cutting out a dove. For those of you who don’t know me, I am an every Sunday attendee on zoom. When I lived in Kansas City, I always went in person. That said, I am so thankful for our zoom community now that I am far away.

Peace is always in my heart and because of everything I have learned and shared with our community, I am always thinking of how I can be Peace in Chico. As we all do, when we leave service for our week ahead, we think about “every single other” and try to see even annoying people in a more favorable light.

I continue to give at Peace to help our outreach in Kansas City and around the world. But as an individual, how do I get involved in my small community in a way to bring Peace to others? I think we all approach our daily lives in such a way as to be as kind as possible with our family, neighbors, and strangers we may meet. Sometimes a smile is all it takes or a kind word of encouragement. When we say “Peace be with you…and also with you”, we plan right there to take our Peace to others. It’s a charge really and in these trying times, Peace is welcome.

Thankful for our Peace community and thankful for each and every week.

Holy One, help us to learn and grow each day. May we all be Peace, wage Peace, and love each other…every single other. Amen.

Peggy is a founding member of Peace who loves this community family.
